About Roostie

Roostie is exactly what it says on the tin “Just about the Music”...and nothing else!

Roostie has been 10 months in the making and it has been unleashed (at last) for all kinds of musicians, artists, and fans to use!

Vaccoda (the people behind Roostie) have taken a unique and unexampled approach to artist promotion in the UK/worldwide. For the first time musicians/artists/bands seeking promotional platforms who are currently using the likes of Myspace to ‘get noticed’ or generate followers, will now be able to publicise themselves along-side artists who are being managed by highly respected music consultants at WR Media Group as well as other major record labels – in a 100% music industry focused environment.

Through building ‘mini websites’ i.e. amazing public profiles for self promotion purposes, artists can benefit from a site-wide music fan base – UK and worldwide!

Roostie is also a much needed place for music lovers who just want to see who’s new, and what is emerging in the music scene – getting a front row seat to the next big thing before their journey of stardom and success begins!

The website is for you if you are:

  • A new artist/band who wants exposure
  • An un-signed artist/band who is hoping to get noticed
  • A signed artist/band who wants to accommodate its fans on Roostie
  • An independent artist/band who wants further exposure
  • An established artist/band who wants to accommodate its fans on Roostie
  • An artist/band who is currently being managed by Vaccoda (the makers of Roostie)
  • A venue who gives exposure to artists/bands
  • A promoter who wants more exposure for events
  • Record labels, producers and music management who want to increase exposure for their artist/band
  • And lastly, MUSIC FANS EVERYWHERE who love to discover the next big thing and enjoy exploring new artists and music inside AND outside the mainstream charts!

‘Roostie’: What’s the name all about?

The name Roostie has been taken from the word ‘Rooster’ (as you may have guessed). Getting to this name was great fun (we’ll save the story for another time), but it seemed to ‘fit’ right away and hopefully you will agree that it is incredibly memorable and makes for a seriously amazing logo that has real attitude with the whole ‘look at me, I’m here’ factor!

Deciding to stick with the rooster theme was based on a few things which we felt suited the nature of the project and its all of the users very nicely.

  1. Roosters, from the age of just 4 weeks like to be heard and so they start crowing and like to perch themselves high on the fence; above the crowd where they can be seen and heard. We felt this was a nice way to see budding and eager bands/artists in the music industry (signed or un-signed) – all are enthusiastically doing everything (self promoting on any half reasonable platform available) in the hope that they will be seen and heard.
  2. As Roosters get older they also like to take care of their territory and for this reason also, they sit in high up places so that they can protect and monitor their environment, and flock. WR Media Group felt that this was a fairly accurate way to describe the founders of this project (and the music industry) in the way in which there is always a desire to see the music industry develop and for artists to be given their own territory to develop and grow, all the time protecting the environment from people who may want to jeopardise an artists’ success.
  3. Roosters are quite distinctive with their red crest, earlobes and wattles (yes this might sound odd) but we feel that this is what the project will be for artists who want exposure – a platform which has all the right ‘earlobes, crests and wattles’ to get the attention and members/people it intends to attract and develop.
  4. Lastly, the name is fun, it’s memorable, and for the Roostie team it just clicks and fits!
  5. If you know a worrying amount about roosters and think we have got our facts a little messed up then let us off won’t you!
