Want to know more about how the Roostie Top 20 Chart works?
Well, here it is in a nutshell:
The chart Top 20 is update once a week at 1 minute past midnight (00:01) on a Monday morning. Leading up to this time you will see the current Top 20 results, but after this time you will find that these results are then shown as ‘Last week’s Top 20’.
As soon as an artist is voted for, you will find that they will form part of the ‘This week’s Top 20’ listings and at the end of the week, you get to see who achieved the number one Spot!(No matter how many times you hit the vote button, we only class it as one vote).
A couple of important things to note:
You can’t vote for just any artist on Roostie. The artists in the Top 20 are actually being managed by the company behind Roostie (WR Media Group), and some artists are also likely to be from the major labels, e.g. Sony, Virgin EMI, Universal – in particular, promoting new talent that is about to break BIG.
BUT, and this is a BIG ‘BUT’... When there are free spaces available in the Top 20, Roostie will automatically bring in the highest and most rated artist of ALL artists on Roostie.com. This means that for artists, the potential exposure is HUGE!! For a start, participating major labels will be keeping an eye on their own artists in the Roostie chart and how great would it be to be under their watchful eye!
As a music fan you can have a direct impact on the success and potential future of these artists by supporting them with your viewings/ratings/comments and vote. The power of Roostie music fans could give birth to the next big hit in the official UK charts – and YOU will have contributed to that result; having had a front row seat to the start of their journey!
Also, we might mix things up a little... How? Well there will be times when we will actually allow any artist on Roostie to compete for exposure in the Roostie Chart so keep your eyes peeled!
